A week ago while watching a movie & the ads in b/w (offcourse not by choice) I was criticizing the content writers. I personally feel that now since we have too many brands & channels but the creativity is lost. We come across stupid journalists & content writers and may be the mass communication courses can educate a student but creativity is inborn. But then I saw this wonderful ad & I feel that I should re-think. After all every creation cannot be a master piece…..!!!
Every Diwali there are these festive ads which make you feel emotional. There are brands like Coca-Cola, Maruti and many others who have consistently given good festive ads. This time, it is Tanishq shows you how emotional a Diwali gift can be especially when it is your father gifting you.
Tanishq has recently released an ad featuring Deepika Padukone with her parents Prakash and Ujjala. Conceptualised by Lowe Lintas, the film narrates the story of the Diwali traditions of the family. The voice over for the film is given by Deepika.
This ad has the exact feel good factor like the one which was released by Tanishq on the Mother’s Day. I am one of the biggest fans of Deepika for the person she is, her candid confessions and her priceless dimple smile. After seeing the series of Tanishq ads, you will cry in the Mother’s day ad while smile watching the Diwali ad.
This ad is on the Indian tradition of gifting the family members during Diwali. In India, we have a tradition of considering girls as “Laxmi” (Goddess of Wealth) of the family and hence the parents usually gift the girls with gold ornaments on the auspicious days and especially during Diwali. This Indian insight has been so naturally shown in the ad film that you will enjoy watching this ad whenever it appears on your television sets. This ad will connect to almost to every household celebrating Diwali.
