Poor Monday. The little day gets a bad wrap every time it comes round post it’s better-looking siblings (the Weekend YAY!). But before you say, “Ugh Monday” again, get ready to beat those Monday blues and add a little extra shine to your week.
The ‘Monday Blues’ describe a set of negative emotions that many people get at the beginning of the workweek if they’re not happy at work,”. “It contains elements of depression, tiredness, hopelessness and a sense that work is unpleasant but unavoidable.”
Decide how you want to feel for the day. No one wants to wear their grumpy pants so early on in the week, so set clear intentions for what you’d like to achieve for the day. When you wake up, decide what amazing parts of yourself you’ll be sharing with the world. Maybe you want to show off your dependable side, so plan to be early to your appointments. Or perhaps you feel dedicated to find the positive in every situation that arises… No matter what goal you set for the day, if you stay mindful of the task at hand you’re guaranteed to take on a wonderful perspective on your day and the week ahead. It’s a fun little way to get your juices flowing and with practice, it’s something you can introduce in to your every day routine – cool huh!
