Hilarious Fake i-phone advertisement - Wave

I've heard few of these hoaxes & I guess a few people forgot their science classes when they were growing up that a microwave is used for cooking & water is harmful to electronic components.

Soon after the recent release of iOS 8, a fake Apple advertisement emerged on social media. A new method for charging your iPhone was described in the fake ad. The method was known as “Wave.” The process is simple: toss your iPhone in the microwave for a minute and a half, and OMG....!!! It is completely charged.

iOS 8 through iOS 8.2 brought a new look and features, rounding out the flat iOS 7 design, even if you didn't upgrade to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and an Apple Watch container app.

iOS 8 is the eighth major release of the iOS mobile operating system designed by Apple Inc. as the successor to iOS 7. It was announced at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2014 on June 2, 2014, and was released on September 17, 2014. Billed as "The biggest change to iOS since the introduction of the App Store", iOS 8 builds on the major redesign that iOS 7 introduced, while including many enhancements and interface improvements. As of May 11, 2015, iOS 8 has been installed on 82% of compatible Apple devices. The latest version of the operating system is iOS 8.3, released on April 8, 2015. iOS 8.4 beta 3 was released on May 11, 2015.

An official looking advertisement showed up on social networking sites soon after last year’s release of the iOS 7 mobile operating system. The ad claimed that the update made your phone waterproof.
