Nirbhaya Case - media portrays a "Criminal" as a "Hero"

This man needs no introduction, but still this creepy looking guy is one of the prime offenders of the Nirbhaya case.

Well many of you might have already read the interview going round n round on social media. Anyways all those who haven’t read it yet here you go - http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-31698154

What a shame, this issue has been taken up to that global forum with all the stupid complementary comments made by defence lawyers. I am sure Mr A P Singh has said a lot in favour of the offender and disgraced the victim. But if given a chance he would hardly execute even 0.1% of whatever he claimed.

Mukesh Singh is one of five convicted of the crime and suddenly I see him emerging as a celebrity. He has become talk of the town because the ir-responsible media is potraying him as a Hero. So sorry to say but such a big forum like BBC has published his interview and is planning it air it on its Storyville programme, 'India's Daughter', which is supposed to be on 8th of march - The International Women’s Day.

And finally to nail the coffin we have our dear lawyers speaking in defence of this creepy guy. This is what they have to say.

"In our society, we never allow our girls to come out from the house after 6:30 or 7:30 or 8:30 in the evening with any unknown person," said one of the lawyers, ML Sharma.

"You are talking about man and woman as friends. Sorry, that doesn't have any place in our society. We have the best culture. In our culture, there is no place for a woman."

The other lawyer, AP Singh, had said in a previous televised interview: "If my daughter or sister engaged in pre-marital activities and disgraced herself and allowed herself to lose face and character by doing such things, I would most certainly take this sort of sister or daughter to my farmhouse, and in front of my entire family, I would put petrol on her and set her alight."

Mr Singh risks losing his licence to practise law with the Bar Council stating that his comments amounted to "professional misconduct". Hope this happens.

Waiting to watch the documentary and the long awaited justice.
